When is it going to stop... Raining

I'm bikepacking in Devon early May Bank Holiday- it's going to get muddy. But maybe it will have stopped raining by then

I hope so. I am supposed to be doing a Sealed Knot event in Herefordshire - and our regiment are the organisers.

Actually looks like it may be a good day today with little or no rain, countryside still has lots of new ponds and fields of mud, pity help any wild life, farmers will have fun and i am sure food production will suffer and cause even more price increases.
Might be able to cycle today and get home clean and dry, not have to spend ages cleaning my bike and have time to try and tidy my swamp that was a garden.

I installed a 55gallon water butt off the garage on Sunday.

Mrs C was laughing at me saying how it was stupid to install it now, I should have done it a couple of weeks ago.

It's now full, and it only catches water from half the garage roof.

Went out three times yesterday.
Walk 1 - cut short by hail. That hurt.
Walk 2 - got soaked and I'd forgotten to bring the washing in.
Walk 3 - nearly got blown away.

I'm not hopeful for today.

Well that was a lot of hail on this morning’s ride. The forecast that it wouldn’t arrive till this lunchtime was a lie!

I have just been weeding for ten mins,the bit of the car parking area which our guest left her car.When she went to Wales with Mrs P.The area is soaked and so is the soil under the bark in the front garden.It is going to be ages before any decent gardening can be done.No wonder farmers are worried about their fields.

Sunny all morning so put a wash out. It's now raining, despite met office claiming 10% chance of rain.

Don't normally care much about the rain but I'm getting fairly fed up of it now.

Back in Manchester and can confirm we've just had another huge hailstone storm, apparently gritters are in standby for tonight

I've just had to sprint 50 yards to a bit of tree shelter for a mad 5 minute shower on the way back from the shops from work. It was balzing sunshine when I set off. I didn't even take my flat cap with me.
