I was in Milan today, where cyclists rode around, freely mixing with peds & motorists, in a very harmonious fashion. It looks like a great place to cycle.

In Budapest there were tonnes of wobbly bobs on bikes and the drivers weren't out to kill them. Very little segregation too. The UK attitude is shocking.

Same in Australia. I'm so glad I'm not there right now.

I was in Amsterdam just before Xmas. The biggest bugbear now are the moped/scooter riders in cycle lanes, not above riding on pavements and like to do sudden U-turns. Saw at least a dozen near misses.
