Mariners Club Hong Kong in the mid 90's when they had an Indian chef.

Place in the Chicago Suburbs which came to cater a friend's daughters' wedding, they also have a restaurant as well. I was among a large number of South Asian folk(as I am everyday), and they all approved of the food. I did as well.( although the Goat Biryani was overpowered by the peppers a tad.)

Strangely enough given the lack of curry eating opportunities in France but mine was in Beaune, Burgundy. Far from the hottest vindaloo I've ever had but very tasty and fresh.
We spent six months traipsing around India and Nepal back in the early 80's and I don't recall having anything particularly good the whole time.
