Where to buy a bed

A pal of mine does good beds at reasonable prices. In Yorkshire though so maybe not so helpful to you I'll ask if he can deliver to the SW though.

I got a very cheap bed. Wasn't a divan though. The delivery, and the communication about it, is very reliable.

We've used Mattressman, but only for mattresses, never a bed.
We found the prices pretty good, and the delivery was fast and free.

IKEA... got 3 beds from them, and mattresses. Still going strong after a decade. One of them with occasional bouncy bouncy movement. In alternative months.

My current mattress came from Argos, out of desperation to replace the hand made one I had before. The rest of the bed I made, and will be making another one when the bedroom is done.

My folks have a habit of getting ex hotel beds, from a local secondhand furniture place, for my guest rooms. I'm not really keen on them as I don't know how clean or worn out they were before the new fabric was 'stuck' over the tops of the mattresses.

I got the spare beds from a small bed shop in the local town - better than the chains. But, for our bed, we ended up with a smart designer one from a shop in Edinburgh.
