It's the £120 return cost for the bike with Ryanair that bugs me.
Try minimum of 10x that to fly with my "bike".
My recumbent trike - trailer combo is ~1m high x ~1m wide x ~3m long.
So it's to big for planes, train's and busses.
But I still pay bike prices on ferries ....... ^_^

By definition a tour is a multi-day bike ride going from A to B.
It doesn't matter how you get any luggage, if any, from A to B.
It doesn't matter if you cycle to full distance from A to B.
As long as you cycle some of it over two or more days, you are on tour.

Think "Tour de France". It's a bike ride around France and it's even got "Tour" in it's name.
It may not be my type of tour, but it's still a tour ......
