Not to mention the "Brompton Sail" AKA the bag on the front - I'm sure thats the reason I can't get my average speed up

And if you have the smaller S bag, the hi-vis waterproof cover that comes with it is one size only - so there is quite a bit of space left, which at speed, fills up like a balloon. I'm sure that isn't good for the aerodynamics .....

It's looking like it's going to be a cracking commute home today. Sun is shining down on SE London.

Try to race the clouds then, because it has been intermittent bright sunshine, then very dark grey cloud with spots of rain, over here in SW London and it looks like it is moving in your direction .....

Today was that day everyone gets once a year when the howling wind is directly behind you. Had to freewheel about half the way to work as there was no resistance in the pedals  .

Tommorrow will be another day...

About to set off home in the glorious sun shine .
Glad I cycled in this morning; had to wash in the sink as we've no showers and did have quite a bit of muck on my face and arms

Set out a bit later than usual today, pleasant enough ride in but a blustery here and there; it caught me unawares when almost at a full stop approching a junction, which nearly resulted in an embarrassing blow off

I was in Birmingham for a couple of days for work- that's my excuse. Timed it well though, with the first rain for a month or so. Back on the bike tomorrow rain or shine.

Howmuch longer to go now? It must be hard especially as the weather is picking up

Banned from commuting, I was back riding after two weeks from my op... The main reason is falling off... so I go out after 7 at the moment and don't tackle the cars (still risky). Just can't risk banging my shoulder..it's not ready for it yet - it's the bone healing that is where I have to watch.

All weathers for me... though I think there should be a rule for our cycle parking facilities that if you haven't cycled all winter you have to use the crap wheelbender stands and leave the good one for the committed types...
