Had a slight prang on my Zoe. And the insurance company has written it off! I could probably buy it back, get it repaired, and save some money, other than:
1) Rear tailgate squeaks after a rear end collision a couple of years ago.
2) Range is only 150 miles, which is a bit limiting these days.
3) Worse than that, I can only charge at 22kW AC max, which makes long journeys very long.
4) There is a strange fault where I can only add 10% to the battery on my home charger before it trips out. Other cars, same charger is fine, my car, other chargers is also fine.
5) Sat nav card annoyingly doesn't latch into the slot, and has to be held in with a wallet.
So might take advantage and get something better. Criteria is better range (certainly not worse), faster charging (all options are good), and must be able to fit the following in the boot:
1. 2 x cyclocross bikes
2. 1 set of spare wheels
3. Rollers
4. 50 litres of water (in 2 containers)
5. Jet wash and batteries
6. Track pump
7. Stand and handlebars
8. Bag of tools and spare parts
9. Trolley to carry everything except bikes
There seems to be five options at the price point:
Hyundai Kona
Vauxhall Mokka (similar to the Suzuki Cappuccino, but can be used after 11:00?)
DS 3 Crossback
Peugeot e-2008
Nissan Leaf
Another Renault Zoe.
Thoughts?
