The fog created by several pints of Guinness and a meat jalfrezi is enough to drive me out of the house and into the teeth of a gale.

I had the trike ready for a ride after work today, but got home and saw a bit of fog...
Out came the rollers.

Ice, fog, I can't be a$$ed wig either any more, particularly after a) a guy rolled his car last night just down my road because of the fog and I don't fancy that landing on my new trike and b) seeing the carnage on this year's Jack and Grace 100k and the ice problems.
I did the Jack and Grace 100 this year too. Not nice. People getting off and walking all over the place. ... (the smart ones, that is). The route went along the exact two places where I have come off on ice in the last two years, including one just the previous week. In fog you can at least hear cars coming and dive out of the way ..... and wear lots of really reflective gear. Black ice just gets you whether you expect it or not.

I've just got in after a ride in dense fog and apart from having to constantly wipe my glasses its not all that bad.

I can ride more like perfect day in fog than I can on ice, even with studs.

I hate black ice. The thought of being hit by someone who did see me does not appeal.

He didn't roll his car because of the fog. He rolled his car because he's a chump.

Some of my fave cycling has been in snow/ice/fog
Coldrife, Northumberland, for anyone that knows it. B6342, Forestburn Gate to Scots Gap.
The trees have since been 'harvested'.
