Which KMC 9 speed chain?

I know there are a few fans of KMC on here so I thought I might try them.

Am interested in the cheapest one which is good - not interested in cosmetic finishes.

As an example of my approach I have long used SRAM - I use the one up from the bottom as it's my understanding that at this point a material advantage kicks in but that the chains above that level just look prettier.

The links in 9 speed KMCs can be removed I think for cleaning?

I of course chuck links with the chain when it is worn.

Fair to assume that if I ever need to I can fit SRAM "smart links", or whatever they are called, to a KMC chain.

FWIW I'd get THIS one. I've only ever bought the cheapest KMC X chains and I swear by them

KMC’s cheapest 9 speed for me.

I use the same one as @smokeysmoo.
It seems to run quietly enough.
It comes with it's own quicklink.

In relation to my question above, can you use sram quick links on them? Am thinking of the odd on the road mishap.

No idea. I tend to save the quicklinks from old chains so I've a few in case of mishaps. Can't say I've had a chain failure in near 20 years though so I don't worry about it.
