The second time I used a Garmin, I was a bit surprised to see a "Dani" on my Flyby list. "I don't remember seeing a woman, who's that? Oh, I see!"

She was the slim-hipped beanpole who breezed past as I rolled into Usk. And she didn't say hello. I like to think that later on she looked at her Flybys and saw Dani 74; Clive 111. Who's the daddy now?

I've bumped into quite a few minor pro's at airports now, (they're easy to spot with all the branded team bags and kit) but I don't think I've ever seen one on the road. I'm glad in a way, I don't think my fragile ego would stand up to seeing them in lycra next to me. They're so skinny / fit.

What's really frustrating about that picture is that he still looks like he's only just learned to ride a bike.

I bumped into the Malawi cycle team at the run up to the 2012 Olympics (think they must've been staying at glos uni).
There was only two of them and they turned out to be 2/3 of the Malawian Olympic team!

We see Bradley Wiggins on a fairly regular basis. When he goes by it’s just a whirr of legs and wheels.

Jason Queally lives about 30 feet from my back door so I pass him frequently.
