Sometimes when im riding home from work i wish i had my i-pod or some music of some type just for that little extra motivation. I never would cos i think it would be too dangerous but it got me thinking, if i was sitting at the top of a mountain waiting to honk down it, what song would i like played in the background.....?

    Foo Fighters ...Everlong

    Your turn............!

Not a song, but Flight of the Bumblebee seems appropriate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I have a liking for the Fatboy Slim track 'Acid 8000' - which accompanies the Lance Armstrong ascent of Alpe D'Huez. Going down, I could replicate his climbing speed!

'Free Bird' by Lynrd Skynrd would allow for a frenzied bout of singing downhill - no braking allowed!;)

I like 'World's Forgotten Boy' by Billy Idol. Opening lyrics:

'My road is long it lingers on'

and the it goes into a top rock song with great guitars.

  5. Never mind a song, I'd be too busy making fast motorbike type noises.

nyyyyyyeeeeeeoooooowwwwwwww, eeh-eeh-eeh-eeh-eeh, brrrrrrrrrrrummmmmm, nyeeeeeeeeeeooooooowwwwwwww, woooo hooooo

    ;)

Something really long... how about Queen's Bohemain Rhapsody??

(Eric Claption Kayleigh extended is the longest song I can think of, but you're not really after long guitar solos now are you??!!)

Ending myself at Flight of the Bumblebee Keith! Brilliant!

I think I'd have "The Heat is On" by whoever it was.

Wagner a good shout too Mr Ph - I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

    Glenn Frey, I think.

I'd go for either Motörhead - Ace of Spades or Yello - The Race.

Any song off 'Innervisions' by Stevie Wonder (with the exception of 'Visions').

Or the entire 'Minimum Maximum' album by Kraftwerk...err, I mean me(!)

    Descending:

The Fly - U2 (those unwanted snacks)
    Slow Down - Natalie Imbruglia
Valleys Of Valhalla - Gino Vannelli

    Climbing:

Stand Or Fall - The Fixx
    Push It - Garbage

Push it, make the beats go harder (bpm on the HRM)
Push it, make the beats go harder

I'm sorry that I hurt you (the mountain talking)
    Please don't ask me why
I want to see you happy
I want to see you shine

    [...]

    [Chorus:]
C'mon push it, you can do it
C'mon prove it, nothing to it
C'mon use it, let's get through it
C'mon push it, you can do it
