You can get reconditioned Kirbys for just over £100 on ebay, well down on the extortionate new price. I'm thinking of one next time I need a new vac, people seem to reckon they do live up to all the hype.

They are an impressive piece of kit. I did the sales course on these when I was looking for a job years ago.

They even have a headlamp so you can vacuum during a power cut
