Henrys are good but a bit awkward on stairs. I have solved this slight issue by hoovering very rarely.
Buy a bungalow.

Would that be more cost efficient than getting a cast-off butler from you or Rocky?Buy a bungalow.
The best hoover i think we have had was the Constellation, it used to float about so easy, really was a great hoover imo. >

Edit, Thought i'd add, Also if you plugged the hose in underneath the hoover, it was a good blower as well. Don't seem to see that function on todays hoovers.

Back in the day, hoover bags were easily emptied. It feels wrong to throw away a Henry bag as they're so robust. It takes about 20 minutes, and a load of dust up your schnozzer, to empty the feckers though.Dyson is ok but the filter cleaning is a pain, the Henry you can buy a re-useable bag, works well but a bit messy when emptying.
I wonder if Vernon's butler empties or bins Henry's bags. 20mins of dust up the nose while emptying a bag sounds horrid, but throwing away perfectly good bags seems wasteful.
