On the road to nowhere
I left for work this morning and for the first time I thought "bloody hell its nippy", cue the response "it's time for a bottle"

My first bottle this year is a bottle of Aberlour 10yo Speyside single malt. Obviously I've had to have a sip now the kids are in bed and its canny at £20 a bottle (morrisons claim reduced from £32)

I normally like an irish whiskey as I find them smooth after I decided Islay whisky's are just too smokey and peaty for me.

Does anyone else have any recommendations based on their liqueur cabinet. Please no limited edition, footballer wage category whisky's

Lagavulin is the best Islay for me, but I like Talisker, Oban, Laphroaig. Ardbeg is just a touch too brine-like for my pallete. If not a peaty smoky one i'd try Dalwhinnie, a fine dram.

Laphroaig. Anything else is lightweight.
That's "our" whisky since my wife & I went on the distillery tour and tasting. The special edition ones are great, you can really taste the sea.
