I've met -
Sonia (smiley, annoying, chirpy scouser SAW warbler from the 90s) and she was luverly.
Lionel Blair - as camp as pink chiffon and a nice chap to boot.
The late Jummy Saville - nice chap.

Perhaps, but allegedly, jimmy saville was a paedo. ..

Ah the usual things someone of that persuasion may partake in. I should probably add that 'allegedly' he was a paedo, incase I can somehow get done for slander

To keep things on track, I've met Sean Bean (ish, did a gig on bbc radio 4 alongside him in March) and then went for a drink with John Sergeant. Top guy, very humble and friendly, top pro!

Baroness Greenfield - warm personality, inspirational and genuinely interested in promoting science education.
She was sat on an adjacent table next to me in a Thai Resteraunt in Oxford, nobody I was with knew who she was, in fact, most poeople don't know who she is when I mention it.
Oh, yes. I snogged Janice Long. (I know).
I swam in the same pool once where Janice Long was staying in Menorca. I'd have been about 12ish (circa 1985), so a snog was never on the cards! She was poolside at the time but I didn't know who she was apart from being told she was Keith Chegwin's sister

Jonathan Ross and Patricia Routledge were using a hotel I used to work at for filming, (not together I should add). Wossy was still the Big Breakfast's roving reporter at the time, and Routledge hadn't discovered Hyacinth Bucket.

Neither seemed particularly approachable, but to be fair I didn't really try.

Peter Kay used to have a car we supplied, but it was before I worked there. I don't actually like the guy, but that's based purely on his laziness regarding his 'act' rather than his personality.

Do I win a prize for waffling more than Noodley did?

Ooh yeah just rememberd another...I was walking through Euston Mainline station and a group of suits was walking on a route across the concourse that would mean we met head-on. So I slowed slightly and weaved my way between them, only to trip over one of those suitcase-on-wheels thing!

In the middle of this group of people was Anne Widdecombe! She asked if I was alright and one of the men with her offered me a handup. We both sort of apologized and I just kept walking.

Met Sean Bean many years ago - he is an avid Blade like me. This was at an away match at Derby County. People were coming up to him to shake his hand and he just looked really embarassed by all the attention. Very down to earth fella.
I 'met' him (more like saw him). He was in a pub with Steven Graham before a Blades L'pool match so they were obviously mates. He just wants to be one of the lads and watch the game like everyone else. Steven Graham was sat just in front of me and WAS one of the lads.
