Who has young kids?

I know the feeling. Mine are 4 months and almost 4. I have done little mileage this year and managed to put on a stone in the last 6 months Feels like I have also lost quite a bit of fitness built up in the last few years.

As each year passes I'm getting fitter and faster. I see no reason why that should change and I fully expect to be competing in the TdF when I'm around 70..

You've got about 5-7 years before the eldest is faster and better at everything than you. I'd have broken that gently but seeing as it's you.....

Excellent news. If she's better at everything then I don't have to do anything. I can sit on my arse being completely unproductive and useless whilst relying on others to subsidise my laziness, otherwise known as being 'northern'.

Given your knowledge of the countries geography beyond the M25 I assume you mean someone from Chigwell.

7 & 15. Youngest daughter is on the cargo bike for school runs or day trips. Oldest rides her own tourer. When I need my long rides, oldest looks after youngest. The world is at peace. Need to teach them to become my personal mechanics. That would be cool.
