I know of the woodentops but don't remember ever seeing them on TV.

Mr Ben, Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley were our favourites (sister and me).

. Even had our own "viewing chairs", sisters was a high chair with the front bit removed and mine was a wee pink wooden chair that could be wheeled about wherever I wanted.
Still remember that, must have been 4 & 5, just before I started school in 1971.
