Who still owns a wallet/purse?

Never had a wallet/ purse for money which I kept / still keep in my trouser pocket, but used to have a credit card wallet. They just go in my back pocket nowadays

My Dad used to have all his coinage in his pockets.

How he never lost any of it I'll never know!

I recently took some books in to Oxfam as a donation.

The two ladies (they were definitely ladies, not women) asked for my donor card. I told them I was on their computer system and they could look it up.

I got a severe telling off, "You should carry it in a leather wallet!"
"What do you mean you don't have a wallet!?"

It was brilliant.

Different kind of donor card, but I carry mine, despite also being on the system.

The only time I've used it* was to unlock a door as it was so slim though. 🤷‍♂️


* - It's not the sort of card you want to use for its intended purpose when alive anyway! 😆

Haven't had one in a very long time. I keep an emergency credit card and tenner behind my phone in it's case, but otherwise I just use contactless for everything so I don't need to carry a wallet anymore.

No longer have membership cards for most things and those that I do have I just take a photo and that suffices.

If I had a physical card for every shop that wants me to register with them then I would need a backpack to carry them all!

I use at least 4 different charity shops for a start - depending on where I am going and how easy access is - one for example, has a back entrance so it great for big things and they take furniture

so a card for all 4 would be bulky
plus 4 supermarkets locally that seem to think I need to be a member
and thats not including M&S!

Got a posh handmade leather wallet from a country gunsmith shop in Derbyshire. I dont use any of this card on me phone nonsense.

I have the card on the phone, but I rarely use it as I am so used to using my wallet.

I have a little secrid card wallet. I don't take it with me often these days, but it is there if I decide I should. I do like to have a few quid in cash on me.

Always. THis is prtly because you're supposed to carry your ID card in Germany, but cash is still used more here than in the UK, and our health insurance is different so you often have to present a card at the doctors. Also I need my "Deutschland ticket".

I hear you can carry most of these on a phone but I've seen far too many people getting stressed because their phone died at some critical moment: I'll stick to cards.

Having been at an airport when a flight was cancelled with no warning and no info I wouldn't rely on a phone.
I watched everyone panic as their phones started dying, there was no place to charge, and we weren't allowed out of the Gate area for security.
