Continuity has never been a particular concern on Doctor Who. He has visited the destruction of Atlantis maybe 3 different times, destroyed for 3 utterly different reasons, and didn't meet himself. The Cybermen have at least 3 different origin stories too. This is a feature not a fault

The Doctor was granted a new regeneration cycle by the Time Lords in the episode "The Time of the Doctor".

And later didn't Chris Chibnall rewrite that so that Jodie Whitakers doctor was actually a much more ancient being that the time lords copied.

Or something like that, I always felt Jodie's Dr was great but had shoot stories so I've only watched them once.
