He did say if it doesn't work out I'm to call him and I probably would to be honest. Just a bit scary someone else will be providing the means to pay for the new bike the mortgage.

An interesting anomaly is I'm going back to weekly pay... I thought this would be a major issue as bills are monthly... but if save up 4 weeks pay (which I can do as I'll have a previous months wage to live on) it is more than my current monthly wage and every 5 week month gives me 'a bonus' as no bills will come out of it.....winner!!!!
Well there you go , you have two jobs that want you !
You da man innit !

Thanks for the vote of confidence.... I've not been head hunted.... just reasonably good at selling car parts. In the new job I get to sell very interesting/expensive car parts all over the world.... rather than service items to local garages

Final update\resurrection .....A week into the new job and seems to going well. Can't belive the days went so fast and it's my first Saturday off in years!.... It is frustrating though going from a job you can do easily to a job you can't do as well as the person next to you... Hopefully I'll be up to speed in a few weeks. It is very interesting though talking to people all over the world

I can relate to this exactly!
My last job I could do with my eyes closed and fix almost anything, this one.. I feel like I've gone back 15 years and am starting all over again :s

I have a new job as well. I was paid off from my last job in December and after a lot of job applications, a few interviews and a lot of frustration I was offered a new job yesterday. It all happened quite quickly, I applied for the job last week, had a telephone interview followed by a interview via Skype last Monday then I was offered the job yesterday.
Start next Monday 25th April

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Come on then wheres the new job?

I was interviewed last Friday, a look around the place on Tuesday. Phone call on Wednesday and asked to start the following morning (had enough time due to cover last jobs notice period). Been a busy week.
I was heading for a 20% pay cut with last outfit after 2 years of freezes. New job is 30% less and a substantial lot less time off but with company vehicle - there is a huge change though. For the 1st time in 22 years of marriage I'll be home every night, every weekend - not working away 50% of the year. I could well be asking CC for divorce advice in 6 months.
