Who's back in shorts

For those that follow the 'protect the knees' method how do you feel on 3/4s?

It's what I wear for my commute. And will carry on with them for at least end of Much unless the weather is exceptionally warm for the time of year.
Like to have warmer knees the older I get.

Thanks Ian, and the others that responded on this, I think I'm coming round to the idea of needing more 3/4 stuff. My knees definitely seem to prefer warmth wheareas my shins/calfs don't seem so bothered. It's starting to feel like the majority of the year would be best suited to 3/4s of varying weights. Leave the shorts for Summer and I have various full length bottoms, waisted, for the odd really cold spell.

By the way can leg warmers be worn over the top of 3/4s if needed to cover the shins?

Shorts + Short sleeved jersey today. 1st time I wore a "proper" cycling jersey - they must make you faster as I did my highest average speed

i had the boil in the bag hi viz jacket off today too as i was too warm!!! short sleves and bibs all round
