Me and the OH have still got our marathon winter tyres on. Just wondering if most folk have taken them off or not, as spring is definitely springing.

I seem to remember we had snow quite late last year?

Not yet, but planning to wake up a summer bike tomorrow in case we get a few consecutive dry days next week.

At the moment I'm running s-works turbo's 24c.
In spring and summer I run them @ 120 psi and in winter I have been running them at 100 psi

I did the same last year with Conti GP4000s 25c and had no issues.

Thanks, I am missing my summer tyres (Michelin Pro 4 Service Course) so wondered if adjusting the pressure might make them a bit more useable in winter. I did try riding with them down to 85psi but was still puncturing so gave up and put some Michelin Lithion 2 tyres on to get me through winter.

I'd like to take them off, but I remember some bad weather last March.
Thats what I was thinking. I honestly don't think I've ridden once in icy conditions this winter! Ho hum! I'll perhaps leave then on to the end of march.

Is there any way to store tyres other that just hang them from a hook in the garage?

I haven't put mine ON yet. Not been any ice in these parts, just a lot of wind and rain.

I spent too long on my summer tyres and they didn't handle ice too well. I came off twice as a result. I'm on Durano at the moment and aside from them cutting up pretty badly, I couldn't have asked for much more grip whilst retaining speed.

My Gonzales is still donning his studded tyres wheel set. Hardly had to use him this winter, but woke up to ice two days ago. Keeping one of the bikes on winter tyres for another while: last year we had the coldest Easter ever! :cold:

Took mine off Wednesday, then cycled to work Thursday night in a hail storm that was freezing on the road (boy mother natures got a good sense of humor). Still got them on the MTB, do I've got a backup for when the weather turns.
