Not really no, for the reasons given already & very longstanding convention in pro cycling Contador has celebrated exactly when he would do with such an advantage.Ok, so stage 21 still to determine the winner. It seems Contador had prematurely celebrated. At least the way those commentators drummed up.
but I imagine if it was possible for someone to take a tour on the last stage the agreement would go out the window......
They look like the same person to me.At last! Pale Rider and Smoking Joe get together.

That annoyed me too, I don't dislike Bertie as much as a lot on here but that gave me the rage somewhat. It's a bit galling that Contador felt he had to keep signalling that, in his mind at least, he's now won three Giros.
It has happened in the Tour De France (albeit under slightly different circumstances)Not so sure about that.
The only one I can remember was the 1989 one but the final stage was a time trial which is very different. It has happened in the Tour De France (albeit under slightly different circumstances)
IIRC he's retiring next year or at least that's his plan. It's not that he has something against the Giro itself.Contador said a few days ago this will be his last Giro.
Again, as someone who doesn't claim to understand pro racing, it seems odd to me for a top rider to rule himself out of competing in one of the top events.

There is no "Agreement" not to attack on the last stage neither has there ever been. As said, it's virtually impossible to pull back more than a handful of seconds on a flat stage. Every time the guy in second place tried to get away he'd have the whole of the leaders team pulling at the front. Not so sure about that.
Our hands are hovering by our gun butts and we're watching each other carefully. At last! Pale Rider and Smoking Joe get together.
