The drivers awful - but my spidey sense tell me the bike was travelling way too fast too...

It all happened so fast I doubt any real decision-making took place, but respect to the rider for keeping his nerve and holding his line...I think your natural instinct in that situation would be to veer towards the 'safety' of the side of the road.

Very high level of nerve from the rider doing the filming, and his mate following him, but I've got to admit to a small level of admiration for the plank in the car as well. He put himself in a farcically dangerous position by overtaking over a blind crest but his reaction speed and avoidance was impressive.

Did everyone else see a blind crest/corner? .... looked to be an open straight flat bit to me, but then it is a small screen!
The rider didn't seem to slow down or even try to take any action at all, so looks to be a complete fluke the other driver did!

Watch from 0:17 onwards. The dip is pretty clear

Why did he stop?

I'm not convinced, Assuming the bike to be anything from a 600cc to 1000cc the engine noise is just a settled cruising speed and from the video things are coming towards the rider as they appear to me on my bike at about 50-60 MPH
yes, I could be slightly out, but it does not sound or appear to me that the rider is pushing the bike speedwise. The rider also, appears to ease off the throttle and allow the bike to come to a stop, he's not grabbing brake as there isn't a noticeable nose-dip associated with stopping quickly on a bike, especially noticeable on larger bikes with more weight and stopping power to compensate for performance / weight

however, the driver is overtaking in a no-overtaking section, on a crest etc etc.

I'm impressed that the driver immediately went for the shoulder of the road instead of trying to squeeze between car and bike. Although I think that the car did end up in the ditch as there is a brief shot of soemthing car like in the ditch.

That engine 600cc or otherwise is not laboured at all, It looks like a gopro which generally don't have the best sound at that kind of speed.

The driver was sharp, but stupid. The rider was calm and collected given the circumstances. At that kind of impact speed, he wouldn't have stood a chance
