... to her friend!

One of Mrs SG's friends was taking part it a triathlon and I posted a message of support. Mrs SG then asked why I didn't put an x on the end?!

I know women do this in messages to each other all the time but I've always understood that you shouldn't in a message from a man to a woman (unless of course it's a wife / daughter / mistress (lol)) as its easily taken the wrong way.

Am as just being old fashioned?

Don't ask me, I'm still figuring out when to greet someone with a kiss and which side to kiss them.....oh, and should it be one kiss, two or three?
You know what you can kiss.

I get confused as to when to add an X to a text sent from a straight man to a straight man. Occasionally I get texts from mates with an added X, which just doesn't seem right to me.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned?!

Or possibly force of habit as their wifes have got them adding an x most of the time? :giggle:

I understand that to be it depends on whether I know the person or not. Of course as usual that may be well wide of the mark!

Why would you text someone you didn't know?

Edit: Just realised it doesn't specifically say text, but I'm assuming either that or some form of social media. An informal method of communication anyway, so the joke still works :okay:
