I think you're beginning to make things up.BOMBAY.
As you say, if it is to no-one in particular then it is 'Yours faithfully' and, if to a named individual, then 'Yours sincerely'. However, you don't use a capital letter on the 'faithfully' or 'sincerely'.
Increasingly, it appears that in formal letter between organisations 'Regards' or 'Kind regards' is being used. I don't really like it...
To whom was it addressed?I believe the declaration of war to Japan was signed "your obediant servant, WSC"
To whom was it addressed?

Single x to my female friends and double xx to wife, kids and immediate family for me.
This prompted an interesting debate in the office. I have quite a number of female friends and will often share a lift/cab home with them after a night out, even if there's only one of them. Some of the women in the office were aghast that I'd do so, particularly as some of these friends are single.
As as I'm aware I am neither a rampant Lothario or a colossal pervert, and so I don't understand why I shouldn't, particularly as my wife doesn't mind as she considers me to be house-trained. Is this wrong?
This just seems like you are being micromanaged. It's such a weird thing to even raise. Does she circle grammar errors on shopping lists, and mark spelling mistakes on post-it notes?Mrs SG then asked why I didn't put an x on the end?!
Only if I point out hers first lol. This just seems like you are being micromanaged. It's such a weird thing to even raise. Does she circle grammar errors on shopping lists, and mark spelling mistakes on post-it notes?
