I'm looking forward to todays stage to see how he does. He seemed to slip of the pace on the 1st cat climb on Fri, whether he was struggling or whether he was saving himself i don't know (but all the big names seemed to stay at the front) - hope he does well.

Excellent. Yet another 2012 medal opportunity for me. Along with the beer-drinking and pie-eating demo sports.

It's about time. He can hardly do much better than he's already done in track cycling, and Team GB has adequate replacements anyway

Finally he's realised what some serious commitment and training can do for him in road cycling. He could win a GT, and certainly a classic or two. I always thought he had the physical potential, but I didn't think he had the attitude. Now he does. Interesting times ahead.
