Wiggins is genuinely interested and engaging. Not a platitude in sight. Interesting how both he and Cav are scornful of Steve Peters and the 'inner chimp'.

He must have taken a leaf from Jacques Anquetil who was a master in bluffing when he was suffering and continually calculating the odds.
Talking of French cyclists, there were a couple of references to French teams and a certain kind of ''gagne qui peut'' approach. I wonder if that's still true: there are some very talented new cyclists coming through in France.

Enjoyable programme, I thought. Wiggins is a fascinating character and I found myself warming to Rob Hayles over the course of the broadcast.
