When out for a ride today had to put my breaks on really quickly:hyper: as a couple of pheasants decided to slowly cross the road!! Luckily I stayed on the bike and didn't end up in the hedge!!!

Yeah, they're a menace, stupid things. I've nearly been smacked off a couple of times when they decide to fly out of the hedge. Then there was the Squirrel that ran BETWEEN my wheels

There's a rabbit on my route that runs out infont every night in the exact spot on the countryside bike path without fail, it's nearly been minced in my front wheel a few times lol

Had a badger run into my front wheel on a Sunday morning club run (sprinting through Cheshire lanes)
And ended up in a hedge in a bit of a state .. those badgers are big animals !
Crikey a badger yes I would have definately ended up in the hedge as well!!!
Had a badger running along side me returning from nights on a pitch black lane, i could hear it and i was thinking WTF is that !

I came to a grinding halt on Thursday when a peacock strutted into the road in front of me. That was a first. I've had to stop for deer many times, and there is a lane near here renowned as "pig lane" where some free range pigs create a real and moving hazard. Hares abound (get it? ) around here too, and some of them are huge.

Friends of mine in South Africa tell me that giraffes seem attracted to cyclists, and will often chase mountain bikers. We should be grateful for the small mobile hazards we have!

 Something tells me it'd be rather hard to outrun a Giraffe.

The badger hit my front wheel ... It shot out off the hedge row across the lane
