Of course, had McIlroy lost - he'd be either Northern Irish/Ulsterman/Irish according to the BBC

It shows why the licence fee is well worth the money. Uninterrupted coverage from start to finish without an ad break every five minutes, top class commentary and analysis and no stupid rap music or whatever accompanying the replays. You may not like golf but it is a very tough competitive sport.

I was out on the bike yesterday when i spotted a bloke i hadn't seen for a few years so i stopped and got chatting to him. He said he'd borrowed a friend's bike to see what cycling was all about, then he told me that he gave it up after 2 miles as it was "too knackering". So now he's taken up golf and he likes it. Maybe golf WILL become the new cycling?!

I was out on a little par-3 golf course the other day,
and a fellow got so frustrated he threw his club a good 15 yards.
I think people who take golf that seriously are wrapped a bit too tight for cycling.

If Pringle did cycling clothes we'd all start looking like AG2R...

If you're a cyclist then you will not take up golf as the two don't mix, but on the other hand it could be one way to make cars give you some room when overtaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
