Windows 10?

Can't find where my invitation for free upgrade has gone? Am I now too late?

I seem to have an icon at the bottom of my PC screen that says 'Get Windows 10'. I don't know how it got there though .

I'll have a look next time - As far as I know my invitation came through unbidden. Presumably the normal update address is how they know where to send stuff

Had a look and found the "button" in Windows Updates. I clicked "learn more" and nothing happened. So should I "reserve" my free copy?

Just checked updates, it's been failing since the 28th!

Cleared the windows download folder, updated as admin, it's installed two updates. 10 failed again.

Cleared the download folder, updated as admin again, it's now downloading.

Take note Microsoft, this is on a Microsoft Windows Surface Pro

Bonjour now from Firefox on Win 10. It's remembered my passwords too. I have a very sneaky suspicion Win 10 is what Win 8 should hav been and it's not such a big deal !!

The new explorer (Edge) thingy isn't compatible with Norton's add ins (yes I know but Norton saves be a ball ache with my son downloading stuff).

That's my laptop done. Still trying to get my little 'Surface Amateur' Bush windows tablet to display the little Get windows 10 icon. Ma and Pa haven't switched their laptops on all day - which delays the tech support for another day. Edge seems okay, but it's imported all my Chrome favourites in the wrong order!

I'm now installing the release SDK. Although Visual Studio 2015 was launched last week, it wouldn't work with the beta SDK.

Win 10 is picking up our old spare Epsom R300 on the Win 7 main computer for emergency kids homework (has cheap ink) - didn't do that in Win 8.
