I have done my partners laptop that was running Windows 8.1. Windows 10 was slow for the first few hours when it first upgraded as it seemed to be optimising applications, drives etc (I am only guessing here - but the CPU and Disc were running high so something was going on). But after it has settled down it is working fast and smooth. Not yet ready to do my own laptop which is running Windows 7 but I do like quite a few of the new features in Windows 10 so I think I eventually will. Have you noticed any improvement since installing Windows 10?

no... but I did when i reverted back to 7

I'm downloading it now 50% in 3:55:33  it could be a long night Yawn.gif

I have tried to install it twice now. The message said 'your computer will shut down and start up several times'. It shut down and 4 hours later it hadn't started up again. I tried again and the same thing happened so I thought 'sod it then'.

Upgraded 5 in my house so far, one one caused a problem and that was my own fault for interrupting it. At the moment very happy, one lost a licence for Office 2013, that will be easy to fix too.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
It took 5 hours to download it here, and my broadband isn't the best at the moment, so 17 hours? Blimey.

I quite like windows 10 so far.

My W7 laptop was upgraded yesterday. Took about an hour and a half start to finish, and was surprisingly painless and seamless (for Microsoft). Must say I'm liking Win 10 so far.
