Windshell recommendation please....

Doesn't need to be water or shower proof, or have reflectives, just be windproof, light and packable, so it will easily fit in a jersey pocket. It needs decent one-handed zips and a decent cycling friendly cut.

Hi-viz/flouro yellow garments need not apply. Hi-viz doth offend mine eye.

Then you cant go wrong with a Montane featherlite. Highly recommended and as worn by both myself and the Claude. (So you cant get better recommendations then that right!)
And Tredz are doing them at £42.49 at the moment

Don't know if Aldi will have the same jacket as last year... although it's a slightly odd shape, able to cope with moobs/spare tyre, but with rather skinny arms. It's not perfectly windproof, but not far off, and I'd say a little too big for jersey pocket. At the price though....

That said I have just ordered a Gore Phantom because I wanted something warmer and more high viz and found one at much reduced price.

I do like my aldi one. Even if you pick up something better, the Aldi ones are a good back up for iirc circa £7 last year. They also do a white so you don't have to go fluro yellow.

i went for the montane velo. really pleased with the cut, no flapping around in the wind, and it's super light and packable. will keep a bit of rain off too
