Has anyone shopped with Winstanley bikes? I'm looking at a TT bike which most companies retail at ~£1299.99, however Winstanley are selling it for £1039. I'm a little bit apprehensive as to why it is cheaper, and as I've never used them before. If anyone's got any experience (good or bad) with them, I'd be really grateful if you could shed some light on it. Thanks

I GOT A ROAD BIKE FROM THEM AT THE START OF THE YEAR. AGAIN CHEAPER THAN OTHER SHOPS BUT NO PROBLEMS. QUICK DELIVERY AND WELL PACKAGED, NO WORRIES.
EXCUSE THE CAPS, SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY TAB TEXT ENTRY.

i bought a giant defy 2 from them back end of last year, significantly cheaper than anywhere else, winstanleys is only 1.5 miles from my front door so didnt need to buy online (not that that makes any difference) .for me personally they were fantastic .

Is it THIS one? FWIW do you really need a dedicated TT bike?

I've always been led to believe they are a pig to ride on normal roads and they don't corner well at all.

If you do then happy days, but if not you might want to consider a more versatile road bike with clip ons for TT'ing.

I've not really used them but I have been to their warehouse and they were friendly enough. They've been around about as long as any other online retailer so they can't be too bad.

Jeez if you Google Ribble customer service you'd never buy from them, but in all honesty IME they are fine to deal with.

winstanleys have had a bike shop in wigan for over 30 yrs , the small shop stopped selling bike stuff and started selling only prams and baby stuff 18 months ago . as smokeysmoo says the cycling outlet is now based in an industrial unit with a small shop or more like just a counter really . for me its lost its lbs appeal but i still cant fault them on service....or price^_^

Oaf on a Bike
I bought plenty of accessories from them in the past, mainly because they stocked tons of well priced Giant stuff and before i realised their accessories were crap I wanted things to match.

I did order a SiS waterbottle from them a few months back as id lost one of mine over winter, mentioned it to a friend in the next street and he ordered one 2 days later, his turned up in a couple of days, mine took over a week. Id happily use them.
