Shocking - in a word.

Bough some tyres online last Sunday.

Monday i get an email telling me items ordered are not in stock. And I’ll be emailed when they get them from their supplier: in 3-5 days.

I’m ok with that - but don’t want them then going out on a 3 day service. So make contact via email with their after sales. I immediately get reply saying they are hyper busy and will reply within 5 days 🤦‍♂️

I reply to the email string a few times (As they suggest) - again asking when they will be sent. And on what service. On getting no reply - I then try to ring them. On 3 occasions on 3 different days. Each time the phone just rings with no answer from anyone and no answer-phone.

Tomorrow is 9 days after order and I’ve heard nothing. And can’t make contact.

Frustrating. P1ss poor. Unhelpful. And I shall add them to the list of ‘never again’ retailers…..😟

Strange company. I ordered something, waited a month or so. So I cancelled.
They certainly advertise goods without any stock.

You surprised me as I've always had good service from Winstanleys and they've been competitively priced as well.

Likewise.

There was a slight delay on my last order - I ordered on 14th May, and got an e-mail on the 15th saying they had no stock and expected some on the 22nd. I got a further e-mail on the 17th (a Saturday) saying it had been shipped and I received it on the 21st.

It was a pricey item and a fair bit cheaper than anywhere else that I could find, so getting it a week after ordering was fine by me. If I'd needed it urgently maybe I would have tried to find it somewhere else but it didn't matter on that occasion.

They are local to me but I buy online because I can't get to their shop during opening hours.

Several years ago I worked on an ecommerce system that for each item it had 2 stock levels and delivery estimates, one for items we had in stock and one for items we didnt but the supplier did. So either way when you ordered you could see when it would come.

I've very rarely seen a similar system, most places either seem to lie that they have them in stock when in fact it is with the supplier or just say 'out of stock'.
