Just thought I'd start this and ask what you lot are doing about winter riding , do you have a winter bike or a all year round one .
I have a boardman sport for summer and just purchased a second hand fausto coppi for winter .....I not been cycling long so don't know to much about road bikes but for the fausto coppi I only paid a 3rd of what I paid for the boardman and I love it ......

No offence intended at all, but ask yourself if you have been suckered in to this bs notion about having a winter and summer bike. That Borardman Sport is a bike to use and enjoy year round.

All my bikes are used all year round in all weathers.
Keep them cleaned and lubed up and there is no need for summer/winter bike thing.

My fixed is the only one that gets ridden all year round, commuter and winter bike, my geared bike goes away at the end of October and comes back out during March.

Fixed wheel fanatic.
After years of spending my winters on the turbo trainer I've finally built a bike up for winter. Fixed gear, loads of clearance for wide tyres and studded ice tyres to be fitted when the temp drops that low, mudguards and dyno hub for lights without having to faff with batteries.
I guess that's why the weathers been so nice recently.

I prefer the fixed, I like the way it handles the bad weather and the best bike just seems to nice to ride in the winter.

Even though winter riding can be some of the best riding conditions of the year. Dry and sunny.
