winter mudguards ...

I have a problem trying to find a pair of guards that fit ....
The clearances on the frame are very close . enough that crud mk2 will not fit .

I also have a pair of SKS guards .. has any of you customized theses to fit

ie cut the guards in two where the brakes are and put two brackets on the guards then attach to the brakes ??

I'm sure you could do it if you are a good fettler, or try some SKS Raceblades, they don't give the coverage of full guards but don't need the clearance under the brakes

You could use the (old style?) SKS raceblades?

The guards stop just shy of the brake.

Or try Raceblade Longs, they don't go under the brake bridge, but give coverage each side of it.

Raceblade longs fit my carbon bike, Cruds don't. They are good enough to ride on a club run while standard raceblades aren't.

+1 for SKS Racebledes long, fitted a set to my Colnago a couple of weeks back. Yes there are small gaps where they meet the brake callipers but hardly any crap gets through, perfect rattle free fit, highly recommend them.

Thanks all for your reply's ... I have bought a pair of race blades (not the best of looking when on the bike)
but the guys Who ride behind me on a Sunday club runs will be happy ....
