Actually, my old bike was aluminium. Don't know how much bending you can do on those. Even if it were steel, most bike shops over here got rid of their frame racks long ago. In the old days, when frames were brazed, a frame rack was a basic bike shop tool. Most new bikes had to be put on the rack and checked or straightened after shipping. Nowadays, with TIG welding methods, the frames come from the factories much straighter. That, plus the number of aluminium and carbon frames sold, most bike shops no longer have frame racks. A friend of mind had one straightened a few years ago, but he had to strip it down to the bare frame and ship it halfway across the country to get it done.
