Wood burning stove - ever tried one of these ?

Hi All,

I was in a pub recently and on top of their wood-burning stove they had a small fan - rather like one of these:

Do any of you have one on your wood-burning stove ? The one I saw looked rather good - I'm tempted to get one for our stove - but do they actually work ?

Cheers for such a prompt reply - the fan looked rather cool and I think it would make the room feel rather peaceful.

My only thought as a dad of two girls (therefore think eveythung will kill them) is that it looks like it'll take your fingers off without issue.

I have a large wood burner at one end of a room, they are very effective at distributing the heat.

You don't get a breeze of hot air, it is very subtle.

The fan is not powerful enough to do any damage, but if they are that close to a woodburner the fan is the least of your worries.

+1 They work. The local pub at the caravan site has one on it's wood burner. Certainly helps heat circulation.
