That's true but I don't have a router table so I have bought a biscuit jointer. It will come in handy for other jobs as well anyway. Besides, I like having a good variety of tools.
The advantage of using a router is you can run a groove all the way along the 2 pieces, if using a biscuit jointer it can be easy to misalign the 2 opposing pockets.

Btw I'd use em at 6 inch spacing. :angel:

That reminds me of the time years ago when the papers were saying that due to EU rules that pubs would be forced to sell beer in 1/2 litres, we were discussing it in my local and I said that they'd been selling me beer in 1/2 litres for years just as a fresh pint arrived. Colin (the landlord) said "No they're still pint glasses" so I told him in that case he could top the fecker up then.
