BUT...why oh why did somebody choose to dress the medal dollies in a shade of pink that clashed with the red carpet?

It's living in a house with Mrs FF, 2 teenage daughters:eek: and being the only male in my office with 4 lovely ladies aged 24 to 47  I'm getting a chance to explore my femenine side!
I have a son as well but he's not old enough to have any fire-power yet...but we have considered the idea of getting a potting shed though.

Was speaking to a pal this morning who is staying in the same hotel as some of the competitors. I have set her the challenge of blagging her way into the velodrome tonight. She already has a bit of a track record of being a cycling ligger having got into every day of the MTB World championships for free.

I was impressed by the coverage from the BBC - 3 hours of it and the same tonight and tomorrow, and hopefully all weekend - will see what the programme schedule on the telly comes up with.

The Team sprint was awesome - Chris Jamie and Ross doing a British Best and the French doing a world record....

There are highlights on BBCi player !

Pardon my iggerance () but what's that race called where they sort of hang about on the banked bits of track going real slow, till one goes for it then it's a free for all till the end? Remember it on the telly as a nipper....
Just looked up keirin and madison, which were new to me... looks fun, this indoor cycling lark!

added in edit...
Saw Wiggins last night... agreat ride.. (and a cool haircut, too)
and that Cuban lass was excellent!
