50nM in a decent suitably geared hub motor or mid drive would definitely get you up pretty steep hills especially if you can put in a fair bit yourself on top.
I'm about 95kg at the moment and my commuter is a Vado SL 4.0 with a lightweight 35nM mid drive motor. It gets me plus backpack with laptop and clothes and gubbins up the 9% bit on my homeward commute at between 9 and 11 mph. I'm putting in about 150-200w myself in that section. I've ridden up to 15% hills on this bike with effort but it's got me up without stopping.
