Would you buy a carbon bike that had been clamped like this.

A cheap Aldi work stand, and a cheap Argos bike. I wouldn't buy the bike but the work stand is Ok, if a bit heavy.

I would be more worried about where it is being clamped, if that is done up to tight in that position it could damage the frame, There was a thread on here a while back, When a guy picked his bike up from a bike shop and a few days later noticed some crazing on the top tube. Damaged in the shop.
 
I clamp my bikes (both alu) there. What am I doing wrong?
If it's aluminium (or steel), it's fine - it's only an issue with carbon frames.

sorry folks but I think I may be missing something (on my 3rd kronenbourg) but isn't carbon a strong material, how much PSI can one of those clamps produce. I clamp all my bikes like that. steel, ally and carbon, I'm sure the clamp would break before the carbon
