I would be more worried about where it is being clamped, if that is done up to tight in that position it could damage the frame, There was a thread on here a while back, When a guy picked his bike up from a bike shop and a few days later noticed some crazing on the top tube. Damaged in the shop.
I doubt the picture on an ebay sale is ever of the worse thing that has happened to the thing for sale. IE Just because a carbon bike isn't pictured being held like that doesn't mean it hasn't been.
Caveat emptor, always. And don't pay £390 for a second hand bike that retails (sometimes) for £399, with a full warranty.
sorry folks but I think I may be missing something (on my 3rd kronenbourg) but isn't carbon a strong material, how much PSI can one of those clamps produce. I clamp all my bikes like that. steel, ally and carbon, I'm sure the clamp would break before the carbon
