I love the way the person filming it just stands there, er, filming until they've all been tackled by one old dear with a handbag. Then, when one of them is down, he (and everyone else) seems to deem it safe to join in.
That said, I'd phone the police and keep well away. I'm not about to risk having my skull stove in with a hammer for the sake of someone else's Rolex watches.

I think I would have acted, but not on my own; I would have tried to get the other bystanders to charge in with me, which it looks like they did (eventually).

Well done to the lady, her actions seemed to spur others into getting invoved, which in turn helped detain at least one of the scum.

Now for the judiciary to let them off with a pathetic sentence, and be back out to do it again in no time.

It's the lax judiciary on trial, not the people.

I think it's the shock value of being attacked by an old woman that probably sent the robbers running.

Had one of the guys who runs over afterwards have tried the same thing he would probably have ended up getting a good kicking.
