Is there anyone who thinks that Valverde was not involved with the Puerto affair?

The Valv. Piti name always amused me. Why didn't they just go with Piti? That would be a bit less obvious.

Besides that of course, he rode for Kelme. Vicente Belda is one of the people the Spanish courts are considering prosecuting, I understand.

And Jesús Manzano now works as a brick-layer. Who said life was fair...

Hang on a second. CONI have summonsed him? I can't figure out what jurisdiction the Italian Olympics Committee would have over a Spanish rider for a Spanish team riding in a French event...

CONI would most likely pass the information to UCI.

...okay here's another quiz.

Which other rider linked to OP was tested during the same stage as Valverde? Clue - he has a brother called Andy. Another clue - he paid cash.

And 5 of his team mates were also tested in the same stage (allegedly).

Have you bothered to do a search on cycling news websites?

no. Has Valverde been convicted then? I must have missed that

Oh right, you are waiting on a conviction. ;) What I wrote was not speculation.

But I would say Valverde is slightly more involved than the two other people you mentioned. To the extent he is being called before CONI whilst the other two are not.

...if Puerto claimed another scalp?
Does rather beg the question 'why the hell hasn't this kind of DNA matching been done on all the Puerto samples?'....

Chuffy, I've just seen this on cyclingnews:
"All who insinuate directly or indirectly my participation in any illicit affair without proof are harming my image and those of my team and its sponsors," said Valverde, who threatened "appropriate legal proceedings" in response....

I think he's on your case
