Respekt to David Atkinson, 46 who jumped into the river ouse near Lendal Bridge in York and pulled the drowning four-month-old to safety.
Pictured are Mik Tankard and Jamie Atkin who helped in the rescue - well done to them as well.
You will note that there is no picture of our hero and it does not mention his profession.

Well, if the rescuer is not a hitman, how come the piece was written by Jennifer Bell, Crime reporter? It was obviously a failed hit.

Being SAS or maybe ex-sas is not inconsistent with being a hitman.
You dont go and work down the local garden center when you leave the sas , you become a mercenary or go into personal protection for the rich and famous. And a short distance down the line when trust has been established and Mr Rich Arab wants someone taken out it isnt a big stretch to think that Mr X Sas is the first person he is going to consult regarding the matter.
You dont need to be henry kissinger to work it out.
