Correct @biggs682 its got the sealed bearing arrangement. Haven't looked at removing yet.
It is a bit of a bugger to remove the axle let alone the bearings. the axles rust to the bearing requiring a sound beating with a lump hammer. Make sure you have a bolt screwed right in to the axle to hit against. You will defiantly need to change the bearings after this abuse. Which is easy enough until you try and refit the axle and it knocks the opposite bearing out as you beat it in. I used the old bearing inner race clamped in the vice to hold the new bearing in place.Correct @biggs682 its got the sealed bearing arrangement. Haven't looked at removing yet.
View attachment 410307 Managed to get cables and brake blocks on. Managed a nice 8 miles this morning. Needs a bit more fettling to get brakes nice and firm.
