Alberto Contador was thrown to the wolves for microscopic traces of Clenbuterol but apparently the rule applies differently where the Jamaicans are concerned! The authorities are bending over backwards to accept their justification thereby undermining any faith any of us can have in any sportsperson. An emerging talent? Someone who hasn't been caught yet. A sporting superstar? He's found a 'coach' who knows how to stay ahead of the catchers.

It is disappointing that the general public think doping is 50% of the performance rather than say the more realistic final 0.5%.

It makes you wonder at the intensity and scrutiny that the British Cycling/Sky TUE/medication is getting from the parliamentary Committee (I can't remember the initials), will lovable ex-Tory grandee Lord Coe and his awfy dodgy IAAF dealings with all those lovable 'clean athletes' find the same press and questioning.?

I don't think sportspeople are any worse than anyone else, in whatever line of work there will always be some who act ethically, some who play to the strict letter of the rules, and some who step over the line.
