Remote control went dead yesterday and whilst the missus was trying to console me and telling me it's not the end of the world, I was having none of it.
Panic set in and i ripped the back of the remote off only to discover the warning about replacing the batteries within 10 minutes
So the mission was on, I figured I'd lost 3 minutes sobbing like a baby when i discovered the problem so that left me 7 minutes. Ran out to the kitchen to get fresh batteries only to discover there were none.
Okay take a deep breath and check again, they must be there, maybe it's the tears in my eyes blinding me.
but no i wasn't wrong. Think i only have 5 minutes left.
Okay no problem there's more than one remote in the house so stop wasting time and steal batteries from them, but time after time they were the wrong type
Time is running short and it looks like I'm onto a loser. It looks like I'm going to have to get up to change channels
Wife points out that the batteries in my bike light would work as they are the same size. Stunned I could barely talk but managed to point out that no matter how desperate i was the bike always comes first.
So it's true in times of need a man shows his true colours
failed in the mission and remote lost it's code, but bike lights worked perfectly on my commute this morning
